Cookie Notice
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember your preferences, authenticate your session, and — in some cases — measure how the site is used. On newbookclloud.org we use the minimum set of cookies needed to run the shop; no cookies are used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly technical (no consent required, Art. 122 D.lgs. 196/2003).
- wb_cart_v1 — first-party, localStorage. Holds the contents of your shopping cart between visits. Retention: until you clear browser storage. No personal data.
- wb_session — first-party, HttpOnly cookie, secure. Set after you sign in via Wubook Login on the /access page. Retention: 12 hours or until sign-out. Contains only an opaque session ID.
- wb_csrf — first-party, session cookie. Anti-CSRF token for the checkout and account forms. Retention: session.
Analytical, first-party (consent required).
- wb_pv — first-party, aggregated page-view counter. Retention: 30 days. IP address truncated to the /24 network. Data never leaves our EU infrastructure.
3. Third-party cookies
None. We do not embed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, Intercom or similar. When you click through to Wubook Login you leave newbookclloud.org and enter wubook.net — cookies there are governed by Wubook's own policy.
4. How to withdraw consent
Consent for the analytical cookie can be withdrawn at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer. All strictly technical cookies can be blocked by using your browser's built-in privacy controls, but doing so will disable the cart and Wubook Login flows.
5. Cookie lifetimes summary
Session cookies expire when you close the browser tab. Persistent cookies expire on the date shown next to each name above. You can inspect and delete all cookies through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings (Preferences → Privacy on Firefox, Settings → Site Data on Chrome, Preferences → Websites on Safari).
6. Legal basis
Strictly technical cookies rely on the exemption in Art. 122(1) of the Codice Privacy (D.lgs. 196/2003) transposing Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. The analytical cookie relies on consent given through the cookie banner, in line with the Garante's Provvedimento 231 of 10 June 2021 on the use of cookies and other tracking tools.
