Setting up your Wubook API credentials
Every Newbookclloud module talks to your Wubook account through the official Wubook API using a token you approve during Wubook Login. For that flow to work, the Wubook operator you sign in with must have API access enabled. On a fresh Wubook install this is not always on by default, especially if additional operator accounts were added over time. Here is how to check and fix it.
Step 1 — sign in to your Wubook admin area
Go to wubook.net and sign in with the main property-owner account. If you have multiple properties, pick the one you plan to connect to Newbookclloud. Do not use a receptionist-level operator for this step — you need admin permission.
Step 2 — open Settings → Users
Once inside ZAK, click the gear icon in the top-right, then "Users". You will see a list of every operator on the property with a role (Admin, Manager, Reception, Housekeeping, Custom).
Step 3 — pick the operator for Newbookclloud
We recommend creating a dedicated operator called "Newbookclloud Integration" rather than reusing your personal login. That way you can revoke the token later without affecting your day-to-day access. Click "+ Add user", set the role to "Custom" and tick "API access". Set a strong password — you will never type it into Newbookclloud, only into wubook.net.
Step 4 — grant the required scopes
Under the Custom role you will see a list of scopes: Reservations, Availability, Rates, Guest, Charges, Channels, Room States. Tick every scope corresponding to modules you plan to activate. If in doubt, tick all — you can always narrow later. See the Integrations page for which scope each module needs.
Step 5 — enable multi-factor auth on this operator
Under the operator's profile turn on "2FA" and scan the QR with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy). This protects the token against Wubook password compromise. Store the recovery codes somewhere safe.
Step 6 — head to /access on Newbookclloud
Return to newbookclloud.org, click "Wubook Login" in the header, enter the email of the operator you just created, and complete the one-time link flow. On the wubook.net consent screen you will see the exact scopes requested — they should match what you ticked in step 4. Approve, and you are done.
